HealthMining
These are times of tight budgets, yet the pressure is on to find hard-to-reach qualified prospects. OpenPHI generates on-demand compiled lists (both physical mail as well as e-mail), call lists, even fax lists for bio-medical researchers and healthcare providers based on specialty. We can select prospects down to the finest-grained sub-specialty; geographical area (down to ZIP code); and a dozen other parameters (affiliation; year of grant; granting agency; etc.). Our lists are mainly US-focused but we're starting to data-mine German- and Spanish-language publications as well.
Audience Broker
OpenPHI's services go beyond those of a traditional mailing list broker. We take the time to understand your target markets and the product / service you want to promote. OpenPHI then compiles a customized list of the most likely prospects for your message based on a broad list of available lists, below.
Healthcare Providers
We have access to these data sources:
- Medicare's NPI ("National Provider Identifier") database (over 2.8 Million records). See Sample NPI report for an overview.
- State of Florida healthcare providers licensure database (over 1 Million records). See Sample Florida licensure report for a sample.
The CMS NPI file is organized as follows:
Usage Scenario
Here is an example. A client of yours wants to promote products of interest to cancer researchers. We can go through our databases and identify individuals that have a.) published about cancer; or b.) received a grant for cancer research; or c.) are conducting clinical trials for cancer. We can further narrow the list of targets by geography (state, county, even ZIP code); year grant was received; year article was published; institution; etc.
This is another example of the services we can offer:
- The latest NPI file (dated July 21, 2009) contains 2,905,129 records . The raw data file is 329 MB
- There are 221,188 records with a "NY" state code
- Of those, 38,734 records are located in the 229 ZIP codes that correspond to Nassau and Suffolk counties
The file with NPI records for Nassau and Suffolk counties, NY, is available for download at: Medicare providers in Nassau and Suffolk counties, NY.
